Peggy is published
For those of you that read Hogtails this month…you need to be a Harley rider for that experience…… you probably saw Peggy’s article that was published in this month’s issue. She has come such a long way since the summer of 2007 when she decided to ride. I am very proud of her.
I think the reason that Hogtails decided to publish her article is that it captured the emotions of many women riders. If you have not seen it, send me an email and I will send it to you. I have not figured out how to embed a pdf file yet. Peggy and Ashley share the ability to capture emotions in their writing, and this is what made it so touching for me. Unless you ride, you really do not get the excitement and freedom it brings you.
I rode just about 200 miles this morning, pre-riding my planned ride to the Green Frog in Jackboro with Holly Long, our Chapter’s Head Road Captain. We left before 7:00am in th dark. About 45 minutes into the trip, we rounded a corner to see the most brilliant sunrise ever. There had to be at least a dozen shades of red. If I would have bought my camera…DOH!… I would have had a great picture. I wish Peggy would have been there today, but she had other things to do. She will be on that ride October 11th!
In the words of HD’s new slogan… “Screw it, Let’s Ride!”
