Well Peggy is adjusting to our new family member, and Izzie is little-by-little adjusting to us and the crate.  We know we cannot trust her totally on her own yet, but she seems to be easily trainable. Peggy has assumed a huge responsibility in my absence this week (Thank You!), and Izzie is responding to her very well. She loves to play, chase and retrieve the ball, and walk. I think long-term Izzie will be much easier to train. One step at a time…..

Tee, why not bring over your two dogs someday to let them play:) Just keep them away from the spa:)

If you have seen the pictures below, then you have “met” the newest member of our family, Izzie. Although no dog will ever replace Montana, Izzie is smart and sweet. We rescued her from a group in Plano on Saturday. She is about 10 months old, and was given up for adoption by someone who could not afford the extra deposit required for pets in their apartment.

Izzie is about 45 lbs., and we think a Golden Retriever/Lab/Vizsla mix, or as Dr. Doolittle likes to say…maybe a bit of Heinz 57. When we get her to the vet either today or tomorrow, we should know more. She is much calmer than Montana, and travels in the car very well. She is easy to walk, and learns new things very fast. We have only heard her bark once, and that was at Petco. There was another dog that got to her, and all of the previous dogs did not affect her at all. Kokoa asseted her position quickly by swotting her in the nose. Izzie is now afraid of the cat. Garrett was playing his fire engine around her on Saturday afternoon, and she was not bothered  at all. We are still crate training her until we get to know her better, and she had a much better night last night after we moved the crate into our room. We will keep you posted after the vet’s report. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to introduce yourself to Izzie.

If you have seen the mobile blog pictures below, you probably figured out we were at Hooters. Daryl was so kind to give me a Hooters Passport that already had 22/25 stamps in it, so all I needed was 3 more stamps. My 3 contributions were Amarillo, Loveland, CO, and Panama City Beach, FL. Hey Rev, the first picture was in your honor, since you send all of us your Hooters phone pics. Eat your heart out dude.

As I looked around the room last night at our Wing Party, it made me smile. What a great group of friends who all share the passion to ride. Every person that attended last night has touched our lives in some way. We all share a genuine affection for each other, and a concern for our mutual welfare. We have learned something from everyone that was there. I will ride with this group anytime to anywhere because I know we will have fun and ride safe.

Thank you Daryl, Judy, Tracey, Ray, Darlene, Michael, Loyce, Don, Shelly, Connie, David, Shawn, and Don for being there for our party. Sorry you missed it Scotty and Rev. You all have a special place in our hearts. This one is for you Tee☺
